Hunters
There’s
plenty of space to hunt and a wide variety of game in the region,
including ring-necked pheasants, deer, ducks, geese and wild turkeys.
Squirrel, bobcat, quail, rabbit and even coyotes are taken annually
in the area. The upland area around Harlan County Reservoir includes
17, 750 acres of federally administered land, and as the second
largest lake in Nebraska, the area offers literally miles of shoreline
habitat.
